
National park workers have voiced their concerns about the future of the parks amid ongoing job cuts. Many fear the impact of reduced staffing on park maintenance, conservation efforts, and visitor safety.
Kristen Brengel, senior vice president of government affairs at the National Parks Conservation Association, told AP that the cuts “are pushing an already overwhelmed Park Service to its breaking point. And the consequences will be felt in our parks for years.”
