Tell Us The Splurge-Worthy Foods You Won’t Stop Buying
The other day at the grocery store, I noticed eggs were finally back in stock. I was elated.
You see, for the last few weeks, my store has been completely out of them. I was so excited to see the aisle restocked that I quite literally ran over to it. Only, all my excitement faded when I saw the prices: $7 for a dozen of the cheapest stuff on the shelves??? I was astounded. It felt like a slap in the face.
The worst part is, I added two of them to my cart. I’ve been having (or at least trying to have) the same breakfast of two scrambled eggs and toast every day until the egg shortage completely messed up my routine. Since I figured the egg supply is still going to be inconsistent, I’ll stock up when I can — even if that means paying the ridiculously high price.
Now, I know eggs are just one part of the entire picture — it seems like so many grocery store items have just become more expensive over the years, and unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it’s getting better anytime soon.
That said, I’m curious…what’s the one grocery store item you’re willing to pay a lot of money for? Whether it’s a certain brand of pre-packaged snacks that you can’t live without or an ingredient that you include in every recipe, let me know in the comments!
