People Are Cheering On This Woman With AuDHD For Calling Out RFK Jr. Over His Comments On Autism

In his speech, Secretary Kennedy Jr. called autism “preventable,” adding that it “destroys families, and more importantly, it destroys our greatest resource, which is our children. These are children who should not be suffering like this. These are kids who will never pay taxes. They’ll never hold a job. They’ll never play baseball. They’ll never write a poem. They’ll never go out on a date. Many of them will never use a toilet unassisted.”

The New York Times notes that “scientists have not ruled out the possibility that both genes and environmental factors could influence whether a child develops autism,” but “there is no evidence to suggest that autism can be avoided.”
