“I had my first one right after we filmed the first season of Game of Thrones,” she said. “It happened again like three years later. I had two mirror aneurysms and both of them ruptured, unfortunately. Sadly enough, the second one was when I was in a preventative procedure, and it went wrong.”
In another interview she penned for the New Yorker, Emilia revealed she was ready to pull the plug, when at one point she couldn’t even remember her own name:
“In my worst moments, I wanted to pull the plug. I asked the medical staff to let me die. My job — my entire dream of what my life would be — centered on language, on communication. Without that, I was lost.”
